Chronology of cameras Cadot
This model has particular and unique features. Thus, the front part is set up by pulling the ring towards oneself. The button on the front controls a fast-pitch screw. It allows focusing by moving the front part along a metric scale next to the sliding bellows rail.
On the 1902 Cadot catalog page, the closest model is the A (fig. 28). Our specimen differs from it by the Rauberg Wollensak shutter. Since it has pneumatic release, it features a piston, absent in the engraving.
Model B has a side lever on the front part. This lever is not present on our device.
This camera is entirely made of wood covered in leather. It has two viewfinders on the front part, as well as a third one on the rear body.
Cadot has created other unique cameras, such as the Cyclos detectives.
